Get to Know Team Third Leg_Volume 12: Ariel Laguilles

Name: Ariel Laguilles

Shoe Size:  9.5

How long have you been with BOMF? 2 years

What do you get most out of running with BOMF?  Community, solidarity, and friendship.

Favorite race ever done [feel free to add why]?   Ometepe Half Marathon in Nicaragua-the race that started it all.  I was the 1st of 2 North Americans to cross the finish line but got beat by a fella who thought no one was looking and hopped on his buddy's scooter for almost a mile.

Complete the following sentence:  In my daily routine, I cannot live without checking the progress of my toenails re-growing. and bourbon.

3 people [alive or dead...athletes or not] with whom you would like to share a large, chocolate milk shake.  The Dos Equis most interesting man in the world, John McEnroe, and Diane Van Deren (she's worth a google).

Little known, complete useless fact about yourself.  I used to be a child chess prodigy. Until I get injured.

Get to Know Team Third Leg_Volume 11: Heather Martin

Name:  Heather Martin

Shoe Size:  9 running shoes/8.5 cowboy boots & heels

How long have you been with BOMF? Since the spring of 2010.

What Do You Get Most Out of Running with BOMF? The people (res and non-res alike) are a constant source of inspiration.

Favorite race ever done?  Napa to Sonoma Wine Country Half Marathon (see enclosed goofy photo) because the course was gorgeous, I managed a PR despite the rolling hills (I'm not super speedy), and they give you free wine to drink afterwards. What's not to love???

Complete the following sentence:  In my daily routine, I cannot live without bad reality TV, snugs from my dog, time to scroll through my favorite blogs, Trello, and either SkinnyGirl margaritas or wine.

3 people [alive or dead...athletes or not] with whom you would like to share a large, chocolate milk shake.  Why are we sharing the milkshake? I run. Do I not deserve my own milkshake? Bill Clinton, Princess Diana, and Oscar Pistorius.

Little know, complete useless fact about yourself.  I spent 15 minutes during a conference call today trying to unsuccessfully download the theme song from Spy Hunter (yes, the old video game) as my ringtone.
